Lizzo Is Hosting Her Own Reality Show—Here’s Everything We Know About Watch Out for the Big Grrrls

Get ready to Live, Laugh, Lizzo. The “Juice” singer just announced her upcoming reality competition series Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls, and it looks like 10 buckets of fun.

The premise is fairly straightforward and familiar: Lizzo is looking for dancers to join her on an upcoming tour and has invited hopefuls to stay together in a house while undergoing a boot camp audition to narrow down those lucky few. Drama! Choreo! Attitude!

But rather than a knock-down, drag-out fight to the finish, this series is all about empowerment. “Girls who look like me don’t get representation,” Lizzo says in the first trailer. “It’s time to roll up my sleeves and find them myself.”

In addition to pumping out bangers like nobody’s business, the musician has become an icon of embracing your whole self, simply by being who she is and radiating her inner light. “If you love me…you love all of me. You don’t get to pick and choose,” she recently captioned a video of herself posing naked for a photo shoot. “We should be unconditionally loving of one another, starting with being unconditionally loving to ourselves. Take a moment today and think about the conditions we hold so tightly to that keep us from the freedom of true love. Do you really wanna be so tightly wound? Free yourself in love. You deserve it.”

Clearly, she’s mentor material. Here’s everything we know about Watch Out for the Big Grrrls:

How? Where? When? The eight-episode series premieres on Amazon Prime Video on March 25 and we honestly could not tell from the press release whether it will drop all at once or weekly, but we think all at once? Just don’t sue us, please.

Did someone say, “Let’s take another look”? Okay, don’t mind if we do…

Who else is involved in the series? While Lizzo is clearly involved in every stage of the process (she’s also an executive producer as part of her first-look deal with Amazon studios), she’s also joined by choreographer Tanisha Scott and the “O.G. Big Grrrls” she’s worked with on tour: dancers Chawnta’ Marie Van, Shirlene Quigley, and Grace Holden. Plus, look out for special guests like choreographer Charm La’Donna, body movement expert Rashida KhanBey Miller, and SZA.
